All the memes seem to center on Spring as the optimal time of year for a burst of cleaning and organizing. For me, it’s Fall. Right now, as we roll into the holiday season, is when I want and need to feel the most orderly, efficient, and neat. It’s like getting a jump start on New Year’s resolutions. One of our go-to resources for great product ideas is always Fat Quarter Shop. We brainstormed with them to pick FIVE organizational winners to get you planning like a pro and tidying up in style. The original Great Giveaway has closed and winners have been selected and notified. Thanks to all who participated.

The 2022 Bee in my Bonnet Planner by Lori Holt of Bee in my Bonnet Co.

We all know bees are the best at being busy! So of course they must also be the best at organizing their busy schedules. This spiral-bound, dated planner includes weekly and monthly layouts along with a notes section to correspond with each month and full at-a-glance reference calendars for both 2022 and 2023. You get unique areas to track priorities, personal and health goals, shopping needs, even a daily water tracker. And the brightly colored tabs make it easy to flip through to just the right page to jot down your next important plan. The stylish cover is a lovely linen-like fabric with a silver embossed bee insignia. It arrives in a sturdy keepsake box for just $54.95, and both the planner and the box are made in the USA. We love Lori’s quote on the back of the box, “Taking time to plan is never time wasted.” Truth!

Pink Rotary Cutter Case by It’s Sew Emma

It’s a pretty safe bet your sewing space is chockablock with sharp stuff and pointy things. From rotary cutters to seam rippers, scissors, and point turners; there are a lot of items with “ouchie” potential. This sturdy case is a great solution within your space at home as well as when you are out and about for a club or class. There’s an elastic band to hold larger items in place plus a mesh pocket for smaller tools. Because the zipper wraps all the way around, the case opens and can lay flat while working. When you’re done, zip it up to store. The light yet rigid EVA shell is protective… and pink with an I Love Quilting logo! We all know it’s gotta be cute and colorful to be a true organizational winner! Each case is just $8.98, which makes it a great gift idea for your favorite sewing pal.

Fabric Organizer – The Shorty 7” x 10.5”

Is your fabric stash a mess? It’s certainly a cornucopia of beautiful color and pattern, but finding what you need when you need it can be next to impossible. Although we ALL love to continue to add to our stash, we still want to be able to see and use what we already have. The Fabric Organizer is a great way to transform that cluttered stash into your own personal, well organized fabric store. These mini bolts can hold up to ten yards of fabric … without creasing! Just fold, tuck, wrap, and store. They’re specifically designed and sized to fit on standard bookcases or within store-bought bins and boxes. This “Shorty” size is perfect for fat quarters and small yardage. The boards are sturdy, acid-free, and reusable. And at just $2.98 each, they’re affordable enough to organize your entire space.

My Happy Place Bee Organized Project Tins by Lori Holt of Bee in my Bonnet Co.

I’m a sucker for a pretty metal tin. They seem to make anything you put inside them cuter and more special. These tins feature designs from Lori Holt’s My Happy Place fabric collection, so they are doubly delightful and perfect for your sewing space. You get a set of two: one large at 3.25″ x 13″ x 13” and one small at 2.25″ x 8.25″ x 8.25”. The small tin nests perfectly inside the large tin. There’s a clear view window on the top of each tin so it’s easy to spot what’s inside. Not only are these an adorable way to store notions, project elements, and other sewing essentials; we thought they would make wonderful gift boxes for handmade items. Tuck your special made-with-love item inside the tin, wrap with just a simple ribbon, and it’s a gift within a gift.

The organizer looks really interesting– lots of features that should help if used regularly! 😀 The other items look really amazing, but as I’m trying to downsize my stash and project ideas, and limit the number of future projects, I just see shiny new “temptation”!
