The school year is wrapping up. Soon the books will be closed and the desks will be empty, but the impact on students’ hearts and minds is forever stamped. Great inventors and leaders are not born. They are motivated and inspired by all the amazing teachers who stand up and stand out every single day. We chose five projects you can make to say, “Thank you so much!” Our selection has a relaxation theme, because we simply cannot think of any group more deserving of a bit of R&R. Each option also includes an idea for how to bundle the project into a complete gift package. And, we put together another great S4H printable: a unique set of Thank You Teacher Gift Tags.

Therapy Neck Wrap with Scented Rice/Flax Filler

We’re not saying your kids can be stressful, but… (okay, maybe we are saying that). This longer, double-compartment pad sits inside a comfy terry cloth sleeve. It’s perfect to wrap around your neck and shoulders for a bit of welcome relief and relaxation. Create a Complete Gift Package: add a lovely journal and pen, the latest summer beach read, or a selection of calming teas.

Lip Balm Key Ring Mini Case

Rumor has it that teachers get to go outside during their summer break. Make sure they have chapstick at the ready to keep lips moist and protected from the elements. Our mini lip balm key ring pouches are a Sew4Home fast and easy classic. Create a Complete Gift Package: add several tubes of high-end lip balm along with some crazy sunglasses or a baseball cap.

Soothing Eye Pillows

Not unlike Moms, we suspect teachers have eyes in the back of their heads. Truth or fiction, our soothing spa-style eye pillows are a wonderfully calming gift. A lightly scented filling of rice and flax seeds gives them the perfect weight and aroma. Create a Complete Gift Package: add a packaged face mask, a handmade facial scrub, or a mini guide to mindful meditation.

Coffee Cup Cozies in Three Styles

Maybe your favorite teacher might prefer perking up rather than kicking back for the summer months. If so, give the gift of caffeine. We offer free patterns and easy instructions for three unique coffee cup wraps: snaps, lace-up eyelets, and elastic. Create a Complete Gift Package: add a gift card to your favorite local coffee shop and a small package of cookies or biscotti.

Relaxing Neck Pillow

After a year of keeping kids awake, teachers deserve a nap! This is one of our original S4H pattern designs and remains a perennial favorite. These compact pillows have the perfect contour and softness to cradle your head and neck. Create a Complete Gift Package: add a box of fine chocolates or bundle with the eye pillow and neck wrap from above for a triple relaxation treat.

Gift Tag Download

If you’d like to print our cute Thank You Teacher Gift Tags sheet, it is available here as a .PDF file. Click the image below to download. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, which is a free program.

We’ve minimized the file size, but please be patient with the download process. In addition, make sure you have the latest version of Acrobat Reader DC, and the latest version of your printer driver. Adobe does always recommend a re-start of your computer with any update. If you are experiencing printing issues, you can also try the Print as Image option in your printer’s browser window. This option is often under the Advanced tab. You can also save the downloaded PDF to your computer and print from there.
