Summer Solstice “Measure Up” Great Giveaway

Printer-friendly versionPDF version

How do you Measure Up? In our eyes, all Sew4Home visitors are the coolest, but in this case, we actually mean Measure Up as in rulers and tapes! In honor of the Summer Solstice, which begins today and kicks off the measurement of days left until winter, our friends at Dritz® have provided three great tools that can cover the long and short of all your measuring tasks. TWO lucky Sew4Home visitors will each receive a set of these three Dritz Home® Measuring Tools. We love, love, love the matte black finish of these tools. Not only is it an elegant look, there’s no glare, and the contrast between the silver markings and the black background makes it super easy to read.

The Dritz Home 36” Yardstick is a two-sided straight edge ruler in anodized aluminum. One side features the standard incremental yardage markings from  yard up to 1 yard. The opposite side can be used as a centering tool with inch measurements running out in either direction from the exact center along both the top and bottom edges. All measurements on this tool are in inches.

The Dritz Home 12” Specialty Ruler is a powerhouse of function in just one foot of space. Also in anodized aluminum, this ruler features inch measurements down to 1/16th as well as complete metric markings. Pre-punched holes at one end give you the ability to draw circles and arcs, and you can use the angle markings to create geometric shapes. It’s an excellent ruler for pattern drafting.

Finally, the Dritz Home Tape Measure is… wait for it…. 120” in length!! That’s ten feet of measuring magic! It has inches on one side and metric on the other side and is made of non-shrink, non-stretch fiberglass so you can be sure your measuring stays true.

Big, Big, BIG thanks to Dritz for sponsoring Sew4Home and providing such generous prize packages. They always have wonderful ways to keep your sewing easier and more creative. To find out more, we invite you to visit their website or blog; or follow them on Pinterest, Instagram, TwitterFacebook, and YouTube. When you support them, you support us…. keeping our Giveaways extra Great!

I use everything to measure, measuring tape around my neck, metal measure tape, wood yardstick and even T square so this set would be great and I love the black/silver.

Oh, I really, really like these ~ in black, no less!  I am shy a good straight, accurate yardstick and the 120” tape measure would definitely be handy when making large bed size quilts.  Thx for the opportunity to enter the raffle.

I can alway use another measuring tool.  My 2 year old granddaughter loves to play with tape measures when she sees me measuring things.
