Our debut date is right around the corner, and publisher Fons & Porter has given us the thumbs-up to provide some sneak peeks into our upcoming book over the next few weeks. We thought an excellent way to do this would be to give you hints about What You’ll Make as well as What You’ll Learn. There are ten cool carryalls, and of course, we have tips and techniques to help each one get a sleek, professional finish.
What you’ll make
There’s a jumbo tote as well as petite clutch, a yoga sling and even a kid’s satchel. The construction steps range from easy to easier to easiest! Okay… that’s a little bit of S4H humor, but if you’re already a fan, you know our goal is to always make our projects accessible to sewers at all skill levels. No paper patterns are required!
What you’ll learn
A set-in zippered pocket, working with elastic, fussy cutting fabric; these are just a few of the techniques you’ll learn as you create the ten different bags in the book. Of course, you know the extra secret: there’s even more great info here on the site to help you further expand your knowledge.
