Freshen Up for Spring Great Giveaway: Janome Thread Tin

Printer-friendly versionPDF version

THIS GREAT GIVEAWAY CLOSED 04/10/19. THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO PARTICIPATED.

Happy first day of Spring! At the risk of dating ourselves, let’s take a quick trip down memory lane to grade school. You arrive at your desk with new school supplies and crack open that big box of crayons. There they are… in their neat little stair step rows, with perfect points and crisp wrappers.  Nothing said “fresh start” like mint condition box of crayons. That is until I discovered the thrill of a new spool of thread. Perfectly wound, colorful, and pristine. What better way to Freshen Up for Spring that with not one but THIRTY brand new spools of thread in a collectable tin?!

Our thanks to our friends at Janome America for providing this delightful Spring Great Giveaway. The bright read tin holds 30 spools of Iris thread. There are FIFTEEN 600-yard polyester spools and FIFTEEN 250-yard cotton spools.

Each thread type comes in the following rainbow of colors: Lemon, Split Pea, White, Pearl Grey, Black, Paris Blue, Red, Mild Purple, Navy, Dark Forest Teal, Ivory, Bedtime Pink, Misty Blue, Sapphire, and Dark Pine Green. It’s a $99 retail value!

Thread is at the heart of each and every one of our projects. It’s holding everything together. This is a wonderful gift for yourself or open up the tin at your next sewing get together like a box of chocolates, and offer up a spool to each of your sewing pals.

I just visited your facebook page and saw your pillowcase with closed overlapped ends pattern. This is such a great idea! This will be put on my to-do list. Wish I'd seen this idea back when I was making pillowcases for my grandsons.

What lovely threads in their red tin ( my favorite color)!  I do love all of my Janomes including my matriarch treadle.  She stitches beautifully as do they all.  Thanks!
