Favorite Project Great Giveaway: Sulky Thread and Stabilizer

Printer-friendly versionSend by emailPDF version

We’re back with another Favorite Project Great Giveaway. This special giveaway series gives you a chance to win fabric and/or notions from some our most popular projects. This time, we have THREE bundles of the exact Sulky 30wt cotton thread and Ultra Solvy stabilizer we used for our super cute Sewing Patches Tote

You can show your sewing pride with our fun machine embroidery patches. We created two custom designs to show how lovely the stitching turns out using Sulky’s 30wt cotton thread. Most folks don’t turn to cotton thread for machine embroidery, relying instead on the polyesters and rayons – but cotton has a wonderful matte finish and the thicker 30wt (⅓ thicker than the more traditional 40wt) provides a rich density.

We have three bundles made up for this Favorite Project Great Giveaway. Each one contains SIX 500 yard spools of Sulky 30wt cotton thread, ONE 475 yard spool of Sulky polyester bobbin thread, and ONE 19½” x 36” package of Sulky Ultra Solvy water soluble stabilizer. The patch designs require an extra heavyweight water soluble stabilizer and Sulky Ultra Solvy gives a perfect amount of support to a dense design stitched with the 30wt thread.

Our winners will receive the exact six colors we used for our two patches: Almost Black #1234, Bright White #1001, Petal Pink, #1307, Mint Julep #0580, Merlot Wine #0035, and Cornsilk #0502.

Both designs are offered in two sizes as free downloads in the six major machine embroidery formats. We used the larger patches on a classic tote. Use our inspiration or create your own base project. The patches would be a great gift for your sewing pals, just in time for the holidays.
