The Janome America Workbook Series is now THREE books strong. Choose from feature-packed instructions for the Horizon Quilt Maker Memory Craft 15000, the Horizon Memory Craft 9450 QCP, and now — the Continental M7 Professional.  If you own one of these fabulous models, you already know you are sewing with a winner. But you may not know the ins and outs of all those features. Dig into those delights with the help of a Janome Workbook that includes tips, tricks, and step-by-step instructions for getting the most out of your machine.

Sew4Home is an exclusive Janome studio, and we love being able to bring you news about accessories to enhance your Janome sewing experience. What we love most about these Workbooks is how well they cover everything from the basics to specific techniques unique to each model.

We can all be guilty of simply ignoring features we don’t completely understand, instead using the same techniques over and over. But, discovering something new can open you up to a way that makes a process easier as well as that gives your project a better looking finish. Whether you’re a veteran or a newbie, everyone benefits from learning new routines and/or refreshing old habits.

The newest Workbook is for the award-winning Continental M7 Professional. The first in the series to be spiral bound, it opens flat and stays flat, making it an easy companion to set right next to your machine. Their are 126 pages of information, including an entire section on the PC Application Pack so you can learn step-by-step how to use the QuiltBlock Advisor and Stitch Composer. The section also has a cool Fraction Conversion Chart and shows you the Screen Saver Tool that allows you to add your own photos to customize your M7’s screen. As with the other workbooks, you’ll also find lots of helpful operational tips, and you get TWENTY block design tutorials.

The MC15000 Workbook has 248 pages of resources for getting the most out of this top-of-the-line sewing, quilting, and embroidery machine. From standard set-ups and operations to the Horizon Link™ Suite Software to using an iPad with the MC15000, you’ll get practical exercises, mini projects, and step-by-step feature guides.

The MC9450 Workbook covers 171 pages and was developed by Janome America instructors to provide a well-rounded knowledge of everything your 9450 has to offer so you can be ready to take advantage of its wide-ranging features and functions.

All the Memory Craft Workbooks are available at your local, authorized Janome America Dealer. They are not currently available outside the US market.

The 15000 and 9450 Workbooks retail for $59.99; the M7 Workbook is $69.99 due to it’s upgraded binding. Call or stop by your dealer for details on purchase and/or pre-orders as well as special pricing options.

Good morning, I am desperately trying to buy the M7 workbook, but it is not available in Australia……
Is there any way that I can purchase from you?
It is very frustrating to not have access to it.
Thank you
Karen 🙏🏻

Hello Karen – S4H does not actually sell any Janome products nor are we able to control which subsidiaries carry which items. Since we are based in the US and our direct sponsor is Janome America, that is where the majority of our information lies. So I’m afraid I can’t help you directly. I’d suggest a Google search to see which Janome America dealers might offer online sales. Perhaps one of them would be willing to ship to Australia. I’m sorry you are so frustrated with the current access.

Will the 9450 Workbook be applicable to the Elna 780+?

Hi Cathleen – we are not familiar enough with the Elna products to give you a 100% guaranteed answer. A better option would be to reach out to Janome America: custrel@janome-america.com

I’ve had my Skyline for 2 years and I’m still hesitant to try the embroidery function. Will there be a Skyline Workbook as well? I would gladly pay to have a step by step process to refer to. I’m completely satisfied with the sewing experiences I’ve had with my Janome and I’m ready to take my machine to the next level. As a matter of fact, my New Years Resolution was to figure out how to embroidery with my Janome this year. Help! 😁

Hi Barbara – Congrats on your S9 – it is one of the favorites here in our studios! We don’t have any new information from Janome regarding upcoming Workbooks. You might want to reach out to them directly at custrel@janome-america.com.

I have the horizon memory craft 14000. Would the 15000 workbook be appropriate to use as my understanding is that the only difference is between the two is Bluetooth availability?

Hi Janet – We haven’t worked with the 14000 so can’t give you a 100% recommendation. I do know that the 15000 has more built-in embroidery designs, more hoops, and a larger embroidery area – so these factors might impact some of the tutorials in the workbook but not all. I’d suggest asking your dealer or directing your question to Janome for a better answer. Janome’s email is: custrel@janome_america.com

Hi Linda, S4H does not sell machines and/or accessories. As mentioned above, these books are indeed currently only available through Janome America dealers. Two suggestions — one, reach out to your local Janome retailer to request they attempt to start carrying them – and two, try contacting a US dealer who may be able to ship from the US to NZ – like a Sewing Machines Plus or similar.

Would the MC 1500 workbook be helpful for the Skyline S9 that I have?

Hi Jane – there are likely some general tips and techniques that you could relate to the S9, but the MC15000 workbook has been written specifically with the steps, accessories, stitches, and screens for that particular machine so I don’t believe it would be your best choice.

Is there a workbook for the MC 6700P? I just purchased one and would really like to explore more of its options since I am somewhat rusty at sewing. Its been many years and I am loving me Janome but would really like a workbook. Thank you

HI Debby – First – congrats on your 6700. You’ll love it! Unfortunately, this new Workbook Series only covers the above three machines at the moment. The 6700 has been in the line for awhile, so Janome may have some aides that we are not aware of. You might want to reach out to your local Janome dealer for information – or even classes – or reach out to Customer Relations at Janome America at custrel@janome-america.com to find out what might be available. Again, congratulations on your new sewing friend!!

I am a Janome lover!  I am a I am a Janome lover!  I am a recently retired Family and Consumer Sciences teacher and used Janome machines in my classes at school for many years.  I also have Janome machines at home.  A 350e, an older serger and a MC 8900QCP.  This is my question regarding the workbook.  I know it is for the newer of the QCP machines, but would any of it be applicable to the 8900?  For many years, I worked during summers for our local sewing machine dealer teaching his sewing machine training classes for customers… Read more »
