Haunted Halloween: Dead Roses Witch Hat

One of my favorite characters in the Warner Bros.® series of cartoons is Witch Hazel , who debuted in the 1954 short, "Bewitched Bunny." Disney® had previously created a Witch Hazel, and she was kind of cool too, but not nearly as sarcastic or quite the fashion victim as the Hazel created by Warner Bros. animator, Chuck Jones. A major part of his Hazel's signature style included a wonderfully crumpled black hat. We think she would approve of our Dead Roses Halloween Hat with its scrunched top, wilting flowers and stowaway spider. "Hauntingly hideous haute couture!"

Haunted Halloween: Wicked Apron

It's Halloween season and costume shops have popped up in all sorts of unusual places. We have one in a store front that previously housed a carpet and linoleum company. Everything smells like glue. They have all sizes and shapes of costumes for kids, and there seems to be endless options for buying and making kiddie costumes online. But... what about the grown-ups? If you don't want to be a glamourous vampire, a hot nurse, or Fred Flintstone, you're kinda out of luck. Sometimes, you don't want to get all decked out; you just want a little something fun to wear to go out trick-or-treating with the kids or to answer the door for the ghosts and ghouls. We think our Wicked Apron is the perfect choice. It's fun to make from pre-cuts, and with the faux front lacing, you'll be the most stylish wicked witch on the block.

A little wicked glamour and a wicked little spider make a spellbinding mask. It's what the most beguiling witches are wearing this season; combining spider web construction with a practical soft fleece backing. Your jeweled spider continues to weave its web while you bewitch those who dare to cross your path.

During American Idol this past season, General Larry Platt gained his fifteen minutes of fame with a wild rendition of the song, Pants on the Ground. "Pants on the ground, pants on the ground, lookin' like a fool, with your pants on the ground." Proving a) we will watch just about anything, and b) these super fast and easy webbing belts are a must-have to keep you and everyone you know from lookin' like a fool.

Haunted Halloween: Ruffled & Reflective Tote Bag

Why must Halloween totes only come in the shape of big plastic pumpkins? Surveys say ghosts, ghouls and well-dressed witches overwhelmingly prefer a beautiful bag. Whether you're carrying magic pumpkins and eye of newt, a few spell-binding books, or oodles of Halloween candy, this tote is the perfect choice. Raw-edged ruffles made from Jelly Roll strips decorate both sides along with a bright strip of reflective tape to catch the beam of a headlight or flashlight. Fully lined, it's just as pretty inside as out.

When we're little, we simply have no idea have wonderful it is to be able nap. I remember how hard I tried to keep my peepers open all day long, and my kids struggled against daytime dreams as well. If only we could still sneak away for nap time now. Not to mention a carton of milk and some graham crackers. This soft and sweet nap time pad with its own built-in blanket just might make afternoon slumbers a little bit easier. Believe me... everyone here at Sew4Home wanted to try out the sample when I finished it!

Gimme an L! Gimme an A! Gimme an N! I won't take the time to spell out Lanae Hale completely. But she does deserve a shout-out for this Cheerleader Pony-Os Project from her must-bookmark website TheRibbonRetreat.com. I absolutely LOVE looking at rolls and rolls of ribbon. It's the same feeling I get opening a fresh box of crayons or a new jumbo pack of markers. So many colors and ideas just waiting to happen.

Nursing Cover With Secret Pocket

We've had several requests for a stylish nursing cover, and have risen to the challenge with this very easy-to-make version – complete with a hidden inside pocket for nursing pads or baby wipes. The more common name for this item out on the Internet appears to be: 'Hooter Hider' – uh, alrighty then. Makes me think of skimpy t-shirts and chicken wings, so I'm stickin' with Nursing Cover if it's all the same to you. Ours is soft knit on the outside with a woven cotton print on the inside, giving Mom something pretty to look at.

If you're sending someone off to college for the first time this Fall, you're in for a lot of new experiences. There'll be stories of all-night 'study sessions,' complaints about the new roommate who hogs all the closet space, whining about the food or lack thereof. And then... there's the laundry. You will learn The Lesson of Laundry-Deferral. Or, exactly how long one person can go without doing the wash. Often, this can stretch all the way to winter break. So, send your collegian off with this heavy-duty, jumbo laundry duffle. It's nearly three feet tall with a drawstring top that allows for easy stuffing. Then, with its sturdy strap slung over-the-shoulder, he or she can arrive home for the holidays with nearly his or her entire wardrobe in tow. Stock up now on detergent.
