For the coming holidays and beyond, these classic zipper pouches are especially sweet as a set or pick your favorite and make just one. With brilliant colors and detailed embroidery, they would make a lovely gift. Or – here’s a fabulous idea: make something for yourself! Originally released as part of the Sew4Home Maker’s Club; this pattern is now available exclusively in the S4H Etsy Shop. There are three custom embroidery designs included with the pattern purchase, one formatted to fit each size of pouch.

Our folk art motifs work wonderfully well for the holidays but they aren’t so specifically seasonal that they wouldn’t continue to be perfect throughout the year. The designs would also be adorable on the bib of a child’s jumper, on a set of throw pillows, or on a larger tote or bag.

The Zip Pouch pattern set includes: a Large Folio at 12” x 9”, a Medium Pencil Case at 10” x 5”, and a Small Classic Pouch at 8” x 5”.

As an ePattern, it includes instructions and photos to take you through each step of the construction. Within your instructions will be a link that will take you to a special hidden page on Sew4Home.com from which you can download the custom Folk Art embroidery files in any of the seven main embroidery formats: ART, EXP, JEF, JPX, PES, VIP, AND VP3.

The pattern also provides detailed instructions for how to expertly cut a zipper to size and tab each end for a professional finish. And there are steps for making the chubby floss tassels that act as a bit of extra embellishment on each zipper pull.

We always bear in mind that you are providing the paper and ink and so have included two flexible printing alternatives. The first file contains all the steps and all the full color instructional photos; it’s a great option for viewing on your computer or other digital device to fully understand the construction process. The second file is condensed to just the steps (no photos) to make printing even more efficient. Both files can be printed on either US Letter paper or A4 paper, using Adobe Acrobat Reader (a free program).

We have continued to keep the cost of our Etsy Shop patterns affordable, while maintaining the professional, thorough instructions and the gorgeous sample photography we’ve become known for throughout the sewing and craft industry. This full Zip Pouch pattern set, including the three custom embroidery designs, is just $6.95.

Click here to zip over to our Etsy Shop to purchase the Folk Art Embroidered Zip Pouch Set pattern and embroidery designs. While there, you can also find patterns for our Backpack Diaper Bag, Quilted Sewing Machine Mat & Notions Caddy, Tufted Patchwork Floor Cushions, Cook’s Apron, Slim Messenger Bag, and our handy Sewing Cheat Card Set.

Our thanks to all the S4H followers who have been so supportive and positive as we’ve begun to offer some favorite patterns in our Etsy Shop. We work very hard to keep as much of our content as possible free to you as the end user. However, with project creation costs soaring and competition for sponsorship dollars fierce, we’re grateful to be able to explore other opportunities. It’s all about being able to continue to do what we love, in order to bring you what you love.
