We introduced you to Jo Packham last month when we told you about The Creative Connection, a must-go-to event this September 15th through the 18th. When she's not working with Nancy Soriano, putting together one of the year's coolest events for creative women, she's wearing her editor hat at Where Women Create magazine. Each issue of this unique quarterly publication invites you into the inspirational spaces of some of the most extraordinary women of our time. It is filled with gorgeous photography and beautiful stories about what motivates these women to create such incredible art, craft, stories, music, dance, and more. And I mean filled... like Alice in Wonderland, I want to step through the pages right into the rooms.

Although we've all been known to come up with great ideas while singing in the shower or doodling on a napkin at the coffee shop, if creativity is your life (and, really... shouldn't creativity be your life?!), the process of creation is ultimately as important as the finished work.

That's why we are so intrigued by Where Women Create; we love to see the behind-the scenes details of all the creative spaces. They are wildly different, but always visually stimulating with unique organizational ideas and just, plain beautiful stuff.

Each issue profiles up to a dozen extraordinary women, sometimes the names are instantly recognizable, other times it's an exciting new discovery, but you can count on it being interesting and inspiring. Here are just a few of the wonderful women from the first seven issues:

MaryJane Butters

Kaari Meng

Rebecca Purcell

Marie Osmond

Mary Engelbreit

Joanna Figueroa

Patience Brewster

Laurie Meseroll

Jennifer George

Amy Butler

We highly recommend you become a regular reader of Where Women Create. The inspiration will allow your own creativity to soar. You can find the most recent issue at your local bookstore or newsstand, or subscribe online now. It publishes quarterly on: November 1st, February 1st, May 1st and August 1st.

Check out the WWC Blog as well where there are even more great profiles of creative women you need to know about – plus, there's almost always a contest or a discount offer from the artist profiled.

AND ... this just in: Jo is proud to announce the publication of the new Where Women Cook. The premier issue comes out December 1st and features Ree Drummond, The Pioneer Woman, on the cover.
