The contest for the kit ended 10/7/11. Even if you didn't win, you can still make the cover with Bari J's terrific tutorial... Yay! Bari J. is back with another adorable sewing pattern. After everything your sewing machine has done for you, isn't it time you surprise it with a chic evening cover-up with flirty pom-pom fringe?! You could not find a more perfect fabric collection for this sewing machine cover than Bari's magnifique Paris Apartment collection, her first for Lecien. Merci, Bari, for providing our Sew4Home friends with such a delightful free project, plus the chance for one lucky person to win a kit to make their own Paris Apartment sewing machine cover. Paris Apartment is so lovely, we expect it will fly off fabric shop shelves. The prints all have French names relating to rooms in an apartment: La Salle de Couture, a sewing room with dress forms and flowers; or Le Salon, a living room full of chintz Louis chairs and graceful chandeliers. Lots of wonderful possibilities with these prints... totally stashworthy! Where to buy Paris ApartmentParis Apartment is in fabric shops now, so get it while you can! Download the Paris Apartment Sewing Machine Cover TutorialBari created her tutorial as an Acrobat file. Click the image below to download. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader, which is a free program. ... This is the cutest cover ever. It would be wonderful to cover my sewing machine which has to be put away when we have company as it sits in part of a corner of my guestroom. I think it would even be a conversation piece its so cute. |

... The touch of floral femininity is what makes it for me. I never cared for the 'sewing' themed fabric..it was just so blah. This is soooo pretty! freeindeed at myfairpoint dot net |

... I adore the dress form design on this fabric - SOOO perfect. I just ordered my very first dress form and am anxiously awaiting her arrival. While peeking out the window watching for that big brown truck to pull up, I've been thinking about what to name her when she gets here. Now you've given me inspiration - she'll be Sallie Couture. Winning this contest would be the topper - if I win, Sallie Couture will be reigning over my La Salle de Couture, right beside my (hopefully) newly-dressed-in-Paris-Apartment-fabric sewing machine. Thanks for sponsoring this contest, and for the wonderful tutorials - I actually came to the site looking for a sewing machine cover pattern. What perfect timing! |

... Ahh Paris... I would LOVE to go there someday, but seeing as I won't be able to in the near future, a Paris Apartment Sewing Machine Cover could take me there every time I sit down at my sewing desk. I love the way these patterns and colors could stand very well on their own and look just as good together! |

... What a beautiful machine cover. Mine is very jealous. I had to turn my monitor so it didn't feel bad and very naked. I can't honestly place the exact 'thing' it is that I love about Paris Apartment. It may be the way it blends the soft colors and the inside of a sewing studio while, at the same time, bringing the beautiful color of the flowers outside together with it. The soft colors make me feel calm and relaxed which, as my husband would tell you I need sometimes. lol |

... What a gorgeous fabric line - so feminine, but very modern and fun - the pompom trim is perfect with it! Thank you for a lovely giveaway - I think I'm going to go ahead and make the cover with stash fabric (although the fabric requirements in the tutorial seem a bit high for the pieces that are going to be cut?) - winning the "proper" fabric would be a delicious bonus! ... That's so cute with the dressforms and the pom pom detail! I really should make a cover for my machine, instead of using the factory issued plastic one. |
